I think 10:1 for gearing is the right setup, the only question is what top speed you are happy with. Whether you use a 3-4k kv motor or a 1000kv motor, 3s or 4s...the gearing choice is right in my opinion. I dont think a truck like this should go very fast anyway. Does your 64t spur fit with the stock outputs and mips?

The 10:1 setup is for crawling because the top end is not that great. It will move some rocks around though. I can make a pinion swap in under 10 minutes though. I bought a longer RC4WD 11tooth 32p for a little more top end, if the terrian allows.

Believe it or not, this truck can handles speed good. The rear sway bar, correct suspension geometry and weight distribution are the key factors for the good handling.
64t spur does not fit with the short Crawler Innovations 5mm output. If I put the long CI output up front, it would.

Shout out to my pit crew, Team Manning. "thumbsup"

I now have dual Carter Fab & Machine » Wheel Nut Lock Kit . The slipper takes alot of force with this beast.

Took this rig out to run the ARCC Zombie G6. Just ran it for fun after I ran my 1.55 rig.

Took me about 45 minutes to get through the course after bypassing a few gates here and there that were tok narrow. Like between trees, etc.

The motor was not even warm! This rig crawls great and is alot of fun!

Couple pics. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/11/24/je8ajuqu.jpg

It's funny to hear it coming down the trail. The sound matches the size.

Thanks mang. I was kinda surprised the motor wasnt hot after 45 plus minutes of trailing and full throttle dirt road blasting. Motor wasnt even warm. Still geared 6/60.
And no broken parts!

Got some Duece's Wild single stage foams from Eddie at Crawler Innovations. I think they will be perfect for this 15lbs rig.

I was running 5.25" Crawler Innovations Double Deuce Foams with firm outers.

I got the 2.2 talls and the 2.2 standard. Mounting up the standards for these swampers.

Old setup on top new standard setup on bottom. New setup squares the tire up good.

Old setup on top new setup on bottom. New setup holds the weight alot better with not tire squat. Tough to see in the picture but the old setup had a good amount of tire squat.
