When I got about halfway through the second side the cut side was flexing around a bit. I thought about tacking the already cut side back together real quick but that was too much effort and kept cutting. :ror: Black paint is my friend. Quote:

Re: Szczerba's 2.2 CXT 1 Attachment(s) first chassis iteration  I mocked it up and thought to myself. "Oh yea, geometry does matter on 1:10scale rigs too. Let try again" |
Re: Szczerba's 2.2 CXT glad that big body finally found a home.... it was taking up my project space.. |
Re: Szczerba's 2.2 CXT What's your plan for a bed? |
Re: Szczerba's 2.2 CXT It may be over the top but that thing would be bitchin with big stacks and a smoke machine. |

Re: Szczerba's 2.2 CXT 2 Attachment(s) 2nd Chassis setup. Meh. |
3rd chassis setup. Mucho betterer. Snuck some Mattzilla 3 hole tabs on the subframe. 3 holes of upper link adjustment. Lower cross bar is just sitting in place for now. Trans mount made. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/20/dujaqyhe.jpg Sent from my thumbs. |
Re: Szczerba's 2.2 CXT 4 Attachment(s) I chop, therefore, I am. Ignore the lower subframe brace not welded in. Cab is just chillin on the rails too. |
Re: Szczerba's 2.2 CXT It would make a cool t5 support truck. |
Re: Szczerba's 2.2 CXT I find that I keep wandering into this thread, I can't wait to see how it turns out. |

I started last week and have been taking photos along the way. I am out of pictures as of now. I have cut and rewelded the MIP's to 6" for the driveshafts. Used 3/8", 0.04"something walled tube. Next up is shock hoops and body mounting. Probably going to hinge the body up front with a small 5/32" rod frame. 1/4" and 3/8" tube should be at the house now for the sliders, headache rack and bed. |
Upper link mounts mocked up. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/20/qa8e8epu.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/20/ezezyne9.jpg Ghetto fabbin http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/20/temu7a2y.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/20/butenuta.jpg Sent from my thumbs. |
