Good looking rig
The budget... the budget... looks like the $150-$200 a month budget is waaay off.. It's more likely $350-$450/month.

Got some parts installed...

I'm a little concerned about the servo horn I installed. It looks like it is a little bit too long. It doesn't bind on the tie rod but I was thinking if I hit something, the tie rod will have contact to the servo horn to do some serious damage to my servo... what are your thoughts? Change it to a shorter one or don't worry about it?

yeah.. driver is happy for having monster steering power

Installed C K R C battery forward plate... Still got a lot of room left on the front.

Need to clean up the rear after I install MMP ESC (on order) and ROC412. Just zip tied everything for now. Ran a Y harness to power the BEC from the battery.

Got more stuff done the other day...

The delrin spur gear makes the truck runs quiet and very smooth.

Got my axle skids from DMG. Super beefy and perfect fitment! Highly recommended!

Unfortunately my Hitec 7950 servo decided to quit all of a sudden. Shipped it to hitec for repair. Hopefully it will be a quick turn around since they are close to my place.

I'm going to waterproof my brushless setup with this stuff... Anybody tried using it to waterproof their rigs?

Look's like you hit the ground running with your Wraith. I've never seen anyone use that for waterproofing their electronics, I think most people use liquid tape to waterproof everything.

Beautiful 1911's too.

Your definition of "budget build" seems to be quite a bit different than mine.

Very nice rig!

More updates....

So I sent back my HiTec servo for repair last week... It took exactly 7 days for them to get it back to me. I am very pleased with their customer service! They replaced the AMP assembly, and now everything works like a charm. Today is going to be a total makeover. Getting ready to put more power in this rig.

Right now I'm planning to run it first on 2s (3s on order). Also ordered HD gears for front and rear. Next will be VP links and power stroke shocks.
It was my first time glueing tires to the wheels... I didn't enjoy the process. It was quite messy. The CA glue I bought didn't have those needle tips. I had a hard time applying the glue Well, live and learn. Beadlocks FOR THE WINNER!!!

Some updates...

Installed HD Gears front and rear. Got my SkyLipo 3s 3300mah batteries (two of them) and VP links... This thing moves and has good power now.

First sign of carnage...

Next on the list...
Power stroke shocks and a new custom bumper.

What are you doing with the replaced parts? Starting a second Wraith?

Some parts will be re-used for future projects, some are useless and will end up in the trash bin.

Got my DmG bumper today. Awesome piece! Super beefy!

[/URL

I had him welded two tabs so I can keep my stock lights. Had a little issue with the two tabs for the bumper lights. They were welded too close together. Had to switch out the lights to make them fit and I had to extend the wirings. No biggie.... Kinda like the look better with the smaller lights on the bumper! Highly recommended! DmG makes awesome stuff!

Did also the cage mod. Doesn't look like a station wagon anymore! And moved the steering wheel closer to the driver.

Still waiting for my Proline shocks... Should be here tomorrow.
Next on the list are Motoworx wheels, Pitbull RB II, Beef tubes and DmG Stump back kit.

Update time...Got all of this installed last week...

Got also some spare Revo rod ends and a back up solar d772 servo (will go eventually in my future SCX10 build)

When i had my stock wraith shocks on my rig, I flipped the rear upper shock mount and all lower shock mounts to lower the truck. Now I am running all slash front on all 4 corners, and I think that the truck is sitting too low. I flipped all shock mounts back in stock position and now it sits perfect with the proline power strokes slash front all around. I gained a little bit ground clearance and the rig is still very stable in high cornering speeds.

This is how the rig sits now...

The stock Powerstroke springs were too stiff. Tuned it with the spring Kit... Now it's perfect!

Got my Motoworx wheels the other day and they look pimping!
Waiting for RB II and beef tubes...

You have a nice lookin rig there.....too bad those tires are keeping all your parts from making that rig REALLY perform.

Its like shooting store bought led ball Remington Ammo at a match shoot through a 3,000$ firearm.

Cant wait to see those RBIIs!

Funny. I too clicked on this too see the "budget" build. More like "no budget" build. Good stuff though.

PLEASE put some tires on there. Those RTR Ripsaws are gash.

Nice build so far. Although the word "budget" is very subjective here. Haha!

Thanks guys! Pitbull Rock Beast II tires should be here tomorrow...

The word "BUDGET" was a joke. It's still a budget build though... $500/month budget so far...

Coming next.... Ordered...

DMG Stump Back Kit, Locked Up RC FI Spools and VP Truss....

Frank: I'm going back to the garage. The stock tires just won't cut it...

Frank: Hopefully my new Tires and Wheels are ready when I show up there! I'm itching to crush some rocks and see what this bad boy can do....

Hi,

I have one question. I also have the knuckles etc from VP, like you have but doesn't the left stock tyre, seen from the from rubs against the steering piece that goes to the servo?

I can't find the right words to describe what I want.

I have the left rim touching the end of the piece that links the servo horn to the knuckle.

Does this happens to you?

Thanks and nice ride

Thanks! Yes, It rubs a little bit with the stock wheels. I ran it like that with no ill effects... Don't worry about it.
