You didn't let me finish. So if you wanna go crazy fast, it can be done.

You had your chance to finish and didn't take it. Not my fault.

I've got a 9000kv Castle motor on hand. Crazy fast enough?

Sure. Knock the dust off the RCC Speed Challenge Thread the dropper in the Wraith.

But really, waiting on the build updates for this rig.

The actual fabbing of stuff is going to take a little time. I want to get the feel for it stock before I start making 'improvements'. Hopefully I can do like I told my wife and use this rig as a rolling R&D lab for Eyeball Engineering.

Did a little reading and performed the diff flip. Huge improvement.

I'm also a bit impressed with the R35 tires. Even cold and wet they are doing pretty good.

Diff flip?
Do you mean flipping the rear axle so the diff case is opposite front?
Huge improvement in? Torque twist?

No, flipping the differentials opposite from what the instructions tell you. The cases are still in their stock configuration.

The torque twist is still there, but its much more manageable, especially at speed. Overall the rig is much easier to drive.

Doesn't that just reverse the rotational direction of the tranny / drive shafts?
Since going to the FBII chassis I have been looking at ways to manage the twist a bit, if this helps it would be a "free" fix to try.

I would be down for a servo mount you selling them yet?

Looking forward to what else you come up with, excited to see you doing new stuff besides talking politics.

Yes. But it also changes the direction that force is applied. Since the OCP's have a long side/short side, leverage plays a bigger part than it did in the old AX/SCX axles with even sides, and is something that can be taken advantage of.

Not yet. After Thanksgiving. I've got lots of stuff to do around the house between then and now with family coming and whatnot.

A photographic hint of what is to come is uploading now...

Turned some aluminum stock down to fit tighly inside the WB's. Threaded holes on the ends so I can run a bolt down and pull them out if I need to.

Future product hint: it is related to, but not in this picture. You may have seen this setup before when I had my last comp rig, and what it was for.

Never underestimate the power that a late afternoon nap can have on your thought process. These came around much quicker than I had anticipated.

No modifications necessary other than trimming the floor pan a little and possibly swapping to straight links. The top hole already feels like its taken too much AS away, but we'll see. Test drive tomorrow.

What? Suspension geometry matters in RC crawlers?

I see slick rigs built daily, only to skimp on the suspension setup. Tisk, tisk.
