Got a whole slew of parts in and I've been so busy with other things that they've just been sitting around. I had some time this morning so I figured it was time to do some wrenching.

FI spools
STRC bearing caps
Vanquish Stage 1 kit
DLux no-slop knuckle bushings
DLux sway bar kit
Solar D772 servo

Everyone should be mostly familiar with a good portion of that list, so I'll skip the details.

The sway bar kit is fairly new so I'll touch on it a bit. Pretty simple to instal, but because my shocks were in the way I had to put a little bend in the upright links for clearance. Wasn't a huge deal, and otherwise assembling the kit was a breeze. Once I get it set up the way I like it, I'll cover the all-thread in black shrink tube.

The Stage 1 kit solved two problems for me. My poor haggard old Honcho was in need of new axles and better steering. The MIP's keep spitting out pins, and the last time they did I damn near tore the carrier off of the axle housing. Since I planned to do the Universal mod, I figured I'd upgrade the Wraith stuff and move its stock knuckles and carriers to the Honcho. Upgraded Wraith, upgraded Honcho.

Since the VP knuckles are a little different than stock, I had to rework my steering a little. I found it was easiest to just do a half-bta and be done with it. Quick and dirty, but it'll do the job for now.

Thanks.

I don't like that particular bta setup. The angled ends put a lot of stress on the rod ends and they'll break if you wang them hard. I need to come up with something better or move it all back up front.
