Default CC's Nothing special Wraith :) now with VP, BGR, Mayhem.....

Thought I would stick up a few pics of my Wraith which I put together over the new year, unlucky for me I spent a week in hospital just after Xmas with a burst appendix, but by the time I got out of hospital 90% of the parts had turned up so I could crack on with the build

Picture time

MIPS

RRP gearing

GPM Alloy parts, I know the chubs are on wrong and have been sorted lol

Gmade Piggys

All metal tranny with 32dp gearing

More build pics

All together with Topcad beadlocks

I like the way you did the light bar mount, haven't seen it done that way yet.

Cheers, I didn't like the way others used the tiny little screws that fix the roof panel on to hold the brackets, the light bar kit came with aload of different brackets, so I just tried a few different ones until I was happy

Is your ESC mounted on the electronics box? How is the clearance? I thought about this but it didn't look like it would clear.

Yea the esc is mounted on top rx box, it's a very close fit to the hood, maybe only a few mm

Ok nice. And you didn't lower the box? I have the stock AE2 ESC but I will be picking up the BRXL shortly. Going to have to try that. Any heat issues so far?

Straight on top with no mods, I haven't had any heat issues yet, but then I never really run flat out for any real length of time, also it's the middle of winter here so it's pretty cold, summertime running might be a different story though

First time I see Top cad wheel actually mounted on a rig, they look good!

HOw's the quality? Do they clamp the tires correctly? are they offset a lot?

Nice built!

I did have a rubbing issue running the VP steering links, but I run +3mm hexs on the front and they fit fine now, with the stock style steering links they bolt straight on though. The quality is spot on for the money and they grip the tyres aswell as any other beadlocks I've had before, I would give them a good 8/10 if I was to review them

I wasnt too impressed with the crappy 17kg that was fitted, so I've robbed the monster Savox SA1283SG 30kg servo out of my Tekno Losi 8ight T
