They are both looking fantastic. I might have missed it. Any shots of the tire carrier? Sent from my SM-T210R using Tapatalk 2 |

Thanks guys. I am running out of cool stickers though! The rig worked great but I will be changing up the shock setup. One cannot expect these rc4wd scaler shocks to perform on a 9lbs rig. The shocks just aren't up to it, mainly the small diameter of the pistons. RC4WD King shocks ordered and ordered the MIP Bypass1 kit for some big bores too. Some pictures from the day. I ran this rig nonstop only slowing down to change batteries. Last edited by Szczerba; 02-17-2014 at 07:23 PM. |

I forgot to mention I was running HR front and rear sway bars the whole day. The rig still crawled good on the trail with both sway bars. My rear uppers were too far up at the chassis and I think my rear traction suffered on the faster drift track sections because of it. |

Maintenance repairs for this saturdays event. Had to replace the old rear axle housing. Using traxxas brass bushing and they finally warped the housing hole. Lowered the rear uppers one hole. Seemed to have make the ass end too light when running a front sway bar. Front sway bar is removed right now due to a stripped grub screw hole that won't keep the arm on the sway bar itself. Replaced front scaler shocks with kings Last edited by Szczerba; 03-13-2014 at 10:20 AM. |

So do you think the bushing is a bad idea over the bearings? I was about to swap all mine to these - Your the first I've seen have an issue with them.

That axle housing was heavily used. It was on my 15lbs CXT rig and several other 2.2 rigs. The brass finally oblonged the axle housing hole. Personally, I am going to keep using the bushings and plastic housing for now. We'll see how long this holds up.

What are these 2.2" round things? Will get em mounted up on some BFG's and the rig in a little bit. |

Definitely one of the best looking AR60 axled rigs I've seen, great work. The chassis looked really good from the get go so it was no surprise that this truck turned out as well as it did.

Thanks for that. I got some prototype Crawler Innovations 2.2 wheels that are SLW ready. Going to put them through a stress test on this rig. Gluing BFG's and Deuce's Wild Foams on them.

| Re: Szczerba's 2014 2.2 #744 Wraith They last longer than pinion bearings for me. The bushings have to be periodically replaced as well but the bearings would fail quite often. So I keep a spare plastic AR60 housing around and some bushings. I run the AL Vanquish housing up front with bushings as well. The bushings last longer up front.

thoses are very nice looking and id like to say the bushing between the axle housing an the drive shaft to keep the bearing in all i did was use the id of an old bearing to keep that one that slips out in

I'm going to give it a go. Seems like the cheapest and smartest idea.

Thanks and gotcha Quote:
Do I know if this is the best setup? No but it has been working good for me so far. The bushings can get uber hot so dont touch after a long run. Vanquish Suspension limiting straps Rear ride height. Front ride height. Front drooped out.
