I bet they will. I will be running this rig hard at the Recon Iron Mountain G6 in STL this weekend.

I know they are a good wheel company.

When Eddie sent me the prototype set I knew they would work on the lightweight comp crawlers but I told him I wanted to try them on the 8.25lbs wraith to see if they would really hold up. After I got them in the mail, i didn't have any doubts that the Changes Eddie made to the wheel design would hold up.

Thanks. Can't go wrong with Vanquish

I ran the Wraith in the day stage with no issues at the Recon Iron Mountain Depot G6 and got handed the "Recon Ready" trophy later that evening. There were cool rigs out there so it's crazy that this rig was selected. Shout out to the Recon crew for putting on the great event. 2 hours of solid driving on the day stage. Used around 6000mah of electrons.

Thanks man. I snapped this pic after I was awarded the trophy after the night stage. I ran the 1.55 F-Toy in the night stage. The Wraith could have been pushed way harder but I didnt need too. Had a blast.

A little better picture.

Forgot about these pics

Been running this rig hard and its time for some maintainence. I am finding out there are suspension and shock changes to be made.

Time to quit playing around and step up to some big boy shocks. The Kings look good but are not good for a 2.2 rig. The piston surface just isnt big enough.

Big bores with RPM two stage pistons. Let the tuning begin. Took about 1.5-2 hours to build up all four shocks. The pistons have to be sanded down to fit the shock body. As well as a little shock shaft eclip sanding. They sell two different kits. One for heavier trucks and one for lighter.

Starting out up front.
20wt oil
Losi 2.75" gold springs
Yellow pistons (middle of the lighter bag)

Rear
20wt oil
Traxxas 3" red springs
Green pistons (middle of heavier bag)

Yes, the Kings are all look. I tried everything to get them to hold oil and they still leak. They don't handle at speed at all (obviously). I think I am going to give up on them as well.

Like the tuning with the big bores. One can never go wrong with those. Do they still make those integy spring pack? They had a dozen options for spring rates.

Not sure on the spring pack. I looked around a bit and it looked like the Integy 7984 pack started at 3.0lbs or so. That would be too firm for my current setup.

The setup I listed in my last post feels really good testing around my yard and rock pile. I did have to put some 3/8" preload spacers out back with the traxxas reds they are 2.5lbs I believe. So I may look for some springs in the 2.6-3.0 range. Losi has some but they drop to a 2.5" length.

Don't think so, as I saw another truck with the "best in show award". I think the Recon Ready Award takes into account how handsome the driver is.

I am getting good at shaving the pistons down to fit the big bores. They put a whole new dynamic into the shock tuning process. I've had to do some top eclips having too to get them to fall into the top piston smoothly.

Here is what i ended up that tests out pretty good right now. Rig is 8lbs 5oz RTR with spare
I can drop the rig from 2-3' with not slapping/bottoming out. Rear scale shocks are just for show.
20wt oil and pistons marked

Front: Losi Golds with some preload and rod end mod

Rear: Traxxas Reds with minor preload and stock length

nice! looking forward to performance reports. are those the traxxas BBs? i read over the weekend the traxxas ultras are actually bigger. i wonder if the pistons would fit without sanding?

also i dont know if you accepting names, but id like to officially dub this thing "The Platypus"
