Awesome idea but.... where would I mount it? The side of the belly doesn't allow anything 1/8th scale. Plus this motor has to work. Its going with the green theme.

With the rear bolted up, .. I dig the look but the cnter shafts barely fit inside the locker. I guess well see if it breaks???

The 1/8 scale motors fit. High kV really isnt the best for anything I run a 2200kv on 6s yes it doesn't just bolt right in but it does work and is well worth the effort.

Love the green theme you've got going. droooooooling

I wasn't going to attempt an 1/8th system when a 550 (length or diameter around) Will not fit in the frame rails.
This is aside the rear shaft would eat into any 1/8th can. Also these are too long. The rear stay and screws on the wraith tranny pan would only have 1 screw.
I know the argument about 6s, but never designed to run lipos like mine @ 5000mah. Theyd neither fit under the hood and would weigh, 28oz.
As for the Kv, @ 2200 on 6s, Im looking at 44,400 rpm.
Even on the 3800kv @ 11.1, Id still pull 42,180rpm before gearing.
Since id rather have it lighter and skip any expense on the system, more Lipos and save the weight, The 3800 will work just fine.
If I was going to bump it up, I have a pro4 4600kv sitting on the shelf as a direct drop in. Plus, These are what I run on my scalers and all my 2.2 rigs so I am familiar with the tuning involved.
So, at 4600kv x 11.1V = 51,060rpm. I do have a method to my madness.

Higher kV means less may for the same run times more power more efficient more better.

Not sure what you mean by frame rails. Interior issues may be more problematic then bolting the motor on.

DMG may make a spacer to help fit big motors though the length issue still needs addressed.

I'm sure the motor you have will work. Yes the rpm s are there but not the power no where near comparable to high power motor turning similar rpms

Looking forward to some mean green running vids

This is roughly the same size as a tekin t8

The motor pictured on 6s 2650watts or so

That's a beast no doubt....! Sounds like a full metal transmission.
Ive had plenty 6s systems on the sand and still have my 1/5th Savage w/ paddles and full telemetry.

I considered using the trans but figured this lil 3800 sucked as I first acquired it.
I also needed more RPM to the wheels. Hence the loss of the trans. A gear reduction didn't really have my attention.
Now, My EXO has had paddles on it and runs a 2650 too. Its only been maxed out at 4s around 50m mph.

The object Im trying to stick with as much as I can, The main theme was lighter and faster. The rig loaded is 4lbs, 10oz..
I still have a few things to do and need some speed numbers, plus a lil run time before I figure out what to do next. I might even put the slingers back on there to see what it does on the trail.

First Run, Nothing broke....! But the fan isn't working on the esc and it went into thermal. It cooled and I got roughly another 10 mins of runtime. {Repeat} nothing broke..! Good 1st Run.

A much needed part came thru today.... Either running high power or larger tires, you will need to upgrade the diff housing.
