Mad Skinz InSaNe FOFF Wraith

We took this in trade thinking it would be a good all around rig for the sand. It has cut Two-Two Slingers and lotsa beef to it Gears, Shafts, Links, Shocks.
Besides, Brushless who could resist? The price was right..
Only problem was, it wasn't even 20 mph.. Castle 3800 thru a gearbox is just not impressive. 3s....what...? I thought I had a Dead cell. Nope..
....It was supposed to be super fast rig with jet-like launches and lotsa air under it right?...
But as a lover of Broncos, I was all about it. So, it sits here now.
....Donor..

Heres the culprit of my unthrilling Trade.. Im still confused how people run a Roc412 3100kv in their scaler? Cause the Castle 3800 is not impressive.

After pulling off axles and gutting the running gear, Im thinking we should go IFS in the front.
But, Im going to do my best to run this little 3800 so, I need a revised power train. Not exactly sure how itll work.
Its just a thought as of now.

This looks like a nice project. Can't wait to see what you do with it knowing your other builds.

That and the gearing. I'm running the 54/16 like you said. Plenty fast for u4. Pro4 4000kv on 2s

Looks like your geared really low between your pinion/spur that would be the first thing I looked at then regear it taller.

Unlike just having a Wraith or Wrexo with paddle tires and a BL motor, This actually has no trans and is still 4wd. Its also gonna serve as a dual purpose rig. IFS is part of the U4rc and Rtx we run. Theres a lot of custom parts manufactured by us. The driveline is 160mm alone. We also kept it class legal to a 2.2 by using crawler beadlocks and not using sct wheels.

The Mid point of the build. (All the little EXO fittings and steering components drive me nuts.)

Only problem with gearing right now is space between the shaft and the motor. If I go smaller with the pinion. Ill risk smacking the shaft on the lil Castle 3800.
Going up in size too on the P, IM looking to keep the heat down on 3s. Bench testing, the tires ballooned and almost peeled the beads out.

There was this lil goodie from a previous purchase. It kinda just fit the right amount of Bling. I also have the Rear EXO Cvds on the front and have never broken a set.

Believe it or not, INTEGY. I replaced all the gears with Axial Hd's cause I am sure something would go out, 1st run.

Re: Mad Skinz InSaNe FOFF Wraith

Heres Wertys custom massaged Driveline he built for me.
We decided it needed a Stroker Shaft.
First the original MIP shaft was lathed into the Komodo HD Shaft.
I haven't broken a Komodo shaft running Brushless before but the pins are weak. The lower side had to be drilled to the MIP spec.
The MIP pin and elbow had to work or this whole thing would be pointless. The elbows wouldn't squeeze in, so they needed to be taken down some too.
Clamped down on the MIP Pin, its pretty solid now. At 165mm long, Im still wondering how we did it.

I had the same setup in a rig. 14/87 and it hauled the mail. I thought it was quick anyhow.

Cool build. I like the rear axle.
