Poison spyder - repaint?

Not a fan of the body panels on the kit wraith so ordered a poison spyder 1 piece pre-cut and pre-painted body. Reason? I suck at cutting... But sadly I do not want the paint scheme that came on the PS. Anyone out there know if I can use A paint thinner/stripper to get it down to a clear body to paint for myself? Search + Google + YouTube have all let me down today lol

I'm sure the original is baked on, so there is no actual way of getting the paint off.

Hmm, okay. Looks like I'll have to paint the outside then. Thanks. Anyone who has tried such things should let me know if that's the case or not.

You can not realistically remove the paint from the inside of a lexan body. And have everything turn out nice.

I have heard Dot 4 brake fluid works.

Just paint it on the outside.
Scuff it with fine 3m Scotchbright and then paint it. If you want it glossy then spray it with lexan clear coat when you're done. I paint most of my bodies on the outside for more realistic scrapes and scratches.

Dot 4 works with just a little work but can leave a little haze. There used to be stuff called easy lift off or ELO. Worked great 10 years ago might still be around but it was sold by my local hobby shop.
