Default Cutting the Wraith Chassis

Ok guys I have done a lot of search button on here and google and I am thinking about cutting my wraith chassis trying to get rid of that station wagon look. I am going for a more ultra4 look, plus my damn hands are to big to get in that tiny space to change the battery.

I would like to get yalls opinions on the best way to do this (with pics). I have seen some rigs on here where they just cut the chassis behind the seats and that look is ok but im not really wanting the truck look, I want something that flows. I need help

I would like to see some pics of your rigs with chassis mods. Need some ideas

thanks in advance

I just dremeled away, then used the original plastic upper links to create a fastback look, then later added 2x factory aluminum lower links as cross bars to add strength and durability. If you wanted you could probably get creative with lexan, aluminum, styrene, etc and make a body panel to go over it

Forgive my upside down pics... No idea how/why they are like that

my buddy cut his chassis and used the stock lower links (straighter look) and I liked it. I like the way your rig looks better with the upper links sean. I may go this route. but i have also seen where ppl have cut and heated the chassis to form it? IDK lol just looking for options

Like this? Cut, heat, and bend. Drill hole in center of tube to attach large rod end, eyeball the angle an length. Takes some time, no pics as i did it, sorry.

How did you connect the links to the roof where you bent it down?

I used the threaded rods used to attach rod ends to axial lower links, the same ones also that bolt the lower links to the skid plate. I used 1 of those long tip lighters like the ones used to start gas grills, heat slowly all around where you want it bent but not to much flame cause the plastic will splinter. You can see in my pic where i removed the gusset under the top bar at the B pillar wher it is heated and bent. Cut the bar long then trial fit so you dont cut off too much. I used a longer screw in the side bar where the rod end will attach.

I used a longer screw, with extra spacers I had from another build and used left over shock pistons for the washer..it went thru one of the existing holes in the link for a perfect fit (on each side of course)

I tried to keep as much of the roll cage as possible. Heated and bent then Fab'd a couple of short links to tie back to the rear of the frame.

heres a pic of the 2 different cage mods i did, the poison spyder is borrowed from dirk379 on here and the aluminum bodied one is borrowed from snohiker on here with 5/16 brass rod installed over the cage(mod borrowed from rcnetwork on youtube) both took about an hour and turned out very well.
