Default Losi 8ight shocks work?

I've gotten my Wraith pretty much exactly how I like it, I would just like to upgrade the shocks... well, and get some cvds in the front.

Anyway, I was buying 8th scale buggy shocks for my Emaxx and noticed the rears for the Losi 8ight buggy were about 112mm long and 75mm long fully compressed. Compared to my stock Wraith shocks they are slightly longer and have about 15mm MORE travel! I thought that was surprisingly impressive.

My question is, would that be a good mod? Is that type of travel better to have? BTW, I haven't decided on springs. I actually though, if they fit, to just use the stock springs on the Losi shocks.

I really like the looks of the Losi shocks and I know they are great leak free, smooth shocks.

Thanks for your input!

I had to cut the buggy shocked and play with valving to make them work in the crawler application

These are zd racing shocks almost have more time into making them work then I did in building the wraith kit.

I'm now running rc4wd 110mm sparks shocks they look better and work awesome

You didn't like how they worked huh? I just like the looks of a big beefy shock up there. Those pictures look awesome!

they work alright. I had to cut the spring down and soften the valving the a lot. I may have a vid or two running them

What made you decide to change them to the rc4wd ones after doing that work? Any chance of a link to the videos?

the sv2 motor really kinda sucks being 4600kv. shocks also weren't working very good. I may not have had them tuned very good oin these photos and vids.

I can see harley shaking his head right now

Yeah they look pretty stiff still. Maybe that's not the route to go. I sure do like the looks of them though.
