First grab a Castle Creations BEC. And then watch Harley's budget build video series!

I would re-glue all the tires or switch out to 2.2 beadlocks...I had a RTR Wraith and the tires started coming off the rims after a week.

First things i did was move the battery upfront, make sure all the screws are tight especially the servo ones an for the servo mount s mine came loose, and replace the stock plastic steering linkage. Other than that have fun with it and replace what you break! I added a bec just incase. Also worth water proofing everything as you never know! Axial Racing - How to Waterproof your SCX10. You will soon find out that its an expensive hobby! |

| Re: Poison Spyder RTR the BEC is mainly for running a high torque servo, which you will want to do soon as the stock servo leaves much to be desired. It will fail fairly soon after you get going in the rocks. Mine failed after about 15 minutes in the rocks. when you replace the servo, go for one with at least 300oz of torque. the BEC will prevent brown outs or glitches in the electronics system due to the higher torque servo drawing more current, be it 2s or 3s JUST GET ONE! When you pinch your front tire against a rock and then you turn the wheel and push the rock away that is servo power. Can't do that without a BEC!
