Default mip question

Okay I building a wraith piece by piece to save money. I am using a Ax10 trans, and the Mip ax10 drive shafts. The rear in about 4mm to short. I'm using the VP links all the way around.
Will the MIP long wraith drive hub(s) fix this issue?
thanks,
Brian

Have a look at AX10 6mm BOMB PROOF OUTPUTS (EXTENDED) - Super Shafty this will sort it out.

Are you using a Wraith skid with the AX10 transmission? May have clearance issues with the drive shafts if so as well. From what I see (had to google pics of the ax10 trans) the rear output is much shorter than the wraith transmission, even tho they are setup almost identical. That's why the driveshafts dont reach.

Sorry, but I dont have an answer on your original question. Might try contacting MIP directly.

Just 1 MIP wraith hub won't do the trick. Maybe 2 will work (1 on each end). When running a AX10 trans on wraith skid you really need to have 1 longer output to the rear. Super shafty makes some KA ones. Also, Crawler Innovations makes them too. The CI ones retain 5mm outputs so as long as you're not running big power (like 1/8 brushless) you'll be ok. A cheaper option would be to pick up a wraith trans case and use the axial longer rear output that fits in the wraith trans. Or get a dig kit for the rear of your AX10 trans.

were you using the AX10 because you had it or was there another reason?

I use the AX10/SCX10 style transmission case in my current Wraith hybrid, as well as my old Wraith. Since you already have all of the parts for the conversion, just go by Crawler Innovations and buy Eddie's extended output and the short output (you should be able to buy them in a set). The extended output will match the length of the stock Wraith case but be 4x as strong as the stock outputs.

You can keep your AX10 shafts. If you feel that the slip engagement isn't enough, MIPs extended outputs are the way to go for an easier adjustment.

Thanks, I this this is what I will do, I have always had good luck with the az10 transmissions, I had a stock one in my Blue Torch DMG Rig and it was a tank, the trans. never failed.
thanks for the info!

The Wraith transmission can be of the same strength, but I always like the simplicity of the AX10 transmission case if I wasn't going to use DIG. It's just a lot of bulk when you don't have a DIG kit installed.

This is a very old picture, but that's basically what you'll be looking at.

If you can wait..........

In about 3 or 4 more weeks
we will have hundreds of MIP "MALE" bones that are 3/4" longer just for this purpose

I beleive we are scedualed to receive them in June

Also ....you could use 2 of these for now

MIP 5mm Drive Hub, Long, - Super Shafty

Regards, Rick
