Default Wraith re-do

Decided to rebuild my wraith, I wanted something different. Im on a budget so I cant go crazy but I got some nice stuff for xmas to use on it. I bought some galvanized metal and made some panels for it. I want to paint the cage and maybe do a soviet wraith. First pic is what it looked like before I ripped it apart. I have some king shocks, d44 knuckles and carriers, and a chassis mounted servo and panhard all from rc4wd waiting to go in it.

2.2 rc4wd super swampers, they were on axial gunmetal plastic rims in the pic, I since have new rcwd 2.2 wagon wheels for it.

Started painting the frame, had to sand and I have to get more paint. Doesn't stick well to the tube frame maybe natural oils in the plastic?

Painted frames look pretty killer when they're all assembled, just remember after a few runs you'll have to do some touch ups.. Unfortunately the black plastic the stock frame rails show the wear pretty good once you tumble it a time or two with the paint.

I read somewhere here that there's a paint out that bonds really well with the wraith plastics, might be able to pull it up in a search.

Krylon Fusion is a great paint for the plastics, just don't go crazy with it. A very nice light coat will be enough.

I tested Krylon on my Wrexo project, tested on a separate part and wasn't happy with the coverage or the bonding. Then I found Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover. It's a paint and primer and it bonds to plastic. I also went with a yellow scheme. Like the deep bright "Sun Yellow" So far it will chip but touch up comes with the territory once you decide to cover the black plastic frame.

panels painted, chassis painted, working on getting it back together. I have a wild willy for it but he will go in later as I want him to steer, turn his head and shift.

I give it an "A" for originality...but think about running the RC4WD Military Spec tires, they may go better with your theme, look pretty sharp with those wheels too.
