Question If using single sway bar where to put? front or rear?

Hello folks. I am trying to install my Dlux sway bar kit that I won on here. I have a question regarding which would be the best end to put this on a speed wraith?

I know ideally having front and rear would make it the most stable but should I put it up front or?

Thanks for any advice.

Oh and has anyone here installed a Dlux sway bar? Any tips? I wonder about the link lengths? The kit comes with a 3mm all-thread 4 inches long so I have to figure out a length. I am clueless.

I'm putting it in the rear on mine so it doesn't limit travel of front axle

Yeah it seems like a good choice. I guess what I need to figure out is how long to make the links and if worse comes to worse I can switch it from rear to front.

rear !! - for speed - to keep the front end planted

Cool thanks!! I really am new to adding sway bars and I won the Dlux one so I thought I want to try it.

Okay another question! How long do you make the links that attach the swaybar to the axle? Do I just eye ball it? whatever looks good? or is there a number?

My vendor thread has some tech info.

Make your links so they make the arms level at half shock travel

Thanks and I was trying to search for info on your kit but couldn't see much.

I will try mounting it tomorrow.

Update!! I got it installed and it might look different but works like a charm!! It took me forever to figure out a mounting setup. The difference is amazing with it on!! The Wraith would practically roll with any hint of a turn!! Now I can almost do full throttle donunts on pavement without flipping!! I just have to tweak it a bit but I think it went well for my first crack at a swaybar.

Looks like its handling pretty well?

Interesting that you put the links in the hole that you did on the arms. I have never thought of that. Did you just want the bar to be stiffer?

I am very happy with the handling now!! It is 100% better than it has ever been. It used to lean just going straight!! It was funny before! Roll over any chance it could but now it can be full throttle and control is great!

I mounted it the way i did because it allowed the best geometry for my Wraith. I tried in the smaller holes and i would get major rubbing on the lower shock spring cups. This mount position eliminates all interference and allows max articulation.

I ground flat spots on the torsion bar and thread locked the set screws holding the carbon fiber arms in place.

It took me a long time to figure out how to mount it. I know it looks simple now.

Got ya.

If you want more clearance around the shock cup you can use a different rod end. The ones that come on the bottom of the big bore shocks work great. They are shorter and smaller in diameter so it actually gives a lot more room

Moving to that hole effectively made your sway bar stiffer. Thats not a horrible thing as long as youre happy.

Thank you Erik for the great info! I appreciate that very much. Right now I love the stiffness so it will stay this way. I need more power to test it....hehehe. I am only on 2S and think the Tekin RS can handle up to 3S. I am using a 13.5T Redline brushless motor.

I will try and dig up some different rod ends for future plans. So far so good.

Thanks again for the prize and doing your Giveaways! Very cool stuff!!

Looks great can we see some articulation shots? Getting ready to put mine on and i was wondering on how it works where you have the arms attached. I think i will outboard my shocks put a spacer in where the shock would have been. I think this will keep my shock cup from rubbing.

Articulation is great but to be honest I just need speed and stability. I don't rock crawl or anything with this Wraith. Pure fun mostly on dirt. I am in another city right now and away from my Wraith so it will be a while to get new pics. I just know it has awesome articulation just a little stiffer.
