| axial wraith electrical issue
Whats up guys . I'm kinda new to the electric rc world. I have an axial wraith with a savox 1283 steering servo, tekin fxr and 45 turn motor, and stock reciever and radio. The problem i am having is when i doing alot of steering in tight technical spots it starts acting like its glitching and the lights flicker. If i let off of the steering it stops.I tried using stock steering servo cause its brand new still just to see if it would help, it wasnt as bad but still did it. But the savox draws more power so im thinking thats why it is worse. But i just installed the motor and esc cause the stock one stopped running the motor just had steering. After install everything was fine for about 2 weeks then this.

Did you install a BEC for the servo? From everything I've read on here it is needed when upgrading your servo. Castle Creations 10A BEC seems to be the preferred.

Had same problem with a Savox servo something fried in it, probably from voltage drop? But with these high torque servos u gotta have a bec to get the full potential out of em and keep your esc alive. Try a castle bec and see if that fixes ur problem. I set mine on 6v with the stock servo for now and it made a huge difference! Well at least till the gears strip out lol

As said your problem is more than likely the need of a external BEC. I have one with my Hitec 7954 set at 7.4 volts and have had no problems.
