Default Your favorite True beadlock for the Wraith?

Maybe I should have said "budget minded" True Beadlock. I'm getting the kit soon and real do not want to glue up the tires. The Vanquish Wheels are just sick, but the cost of 4 + the hibs is a little more than I want to go right now. Looks like Axial has some true beadlocks for about $80 for 4. What other options are out there that you guys like? or should I just glue up the ones with the kit and worry about it down the road?

I like an internal beadlock myself for wrenching and looks.

You should be able to pick up Axial's beadlocks for around $50 instead of $80. However, if you're willing to do the $80, I would recommend spending another $20 and going with aluminum wheels like these from Motoworx. These are the same wheels I run on my Wraith (mine are the black ones) and they are fantastic. Aluminum wheels will hold up to the abuse we like to give our Wraiths, I've seen too many busted plastic wheels. Motoworx are the easiest wheels to mount tires to that I have ever owned, and I have never had a bead come loose. Yeah, I know I'm sponsored, but I can honestly say that I would run Jake's wheels even if he didn't sponsor me; they're that good.

I like to match up wheels and tires. Some just don't play nice together and some just don't look good together either.

My favorite wheels are VP SLW. They are very light and strong and use 3mm hardware for the rings. Mine are the 1" and match up perfectly with the Boggers I have mounted on them.

So the Motor works wheels have my attention, thanks guys. The offsets work stock or is there a hub or something? Can you use a hub to change the track like you can with the VP wheels?

If you get the SLW wheels then yes.

But the standard wheels also work fine too.

you guys have any pics of these on your rigs? They look pretty nice but I'd like to see them on some rides.

Is the VP wheel just more expensive because it's VP or is there a quality difference?

Out of curiosity are the Axial wheels that they say are for the Xr10 the ones that fit the Wraith too?

What's your overall width with those on your Wraith?

Quality is the same, I've seen both of these in person...VP just more expensive and too narrow for Wraith size tires.

No difference in quality. Jake's wheels are amazing.

VP wheels are branded VP. Good and bad ghings come from this brand. Might single handled be one of the best products offered. Prices right inline with competive wheels. Some VP wheels look like ass but some people buy them.

That said I'd look at locked up Rc, the scale shop or gear head before ever looking at VP wheels..

I got locked up Rc wheels and scale hardware. These wheels cost more then my ESC and motor combined but are one of the best investments I've made in the crawler hobby.

I'm running the LE 8 Spoke in black but with raw rings. Overall width (outside edges of Pit Bull RBII's) is 12" up front, 11.5" out back.... nice and stable over the rough stuff at higher speeds.

The Type XI 5S Beadlocks on my sons look pretty damn good. Offset has wheel track wider by 1/2" overall (from memory) & roughly $85 for 4.
They don't replicate any specific rim but they have a realism design & style. Finish is very good & Beadlocks are nice & chunky. Centre cap looks good although for the time saving you could run without using stainless nylock rather then doing up 6 extra screws for cap. But it does look better with caps & hope not to have the need to pull wheels on & off too often.

I really like the RC4WD Hitman. Set of 4 for $100.00. Mine are mounted on Rockbeast II's.

Now looking at your original post my favorites would be the Method copies by VP as I am sponsored by RWA which is the main distributor of Method Racing wheels in Australia & I run Methods on my tow rig & our Ultra4 buggy.
My son chose the above wheels so being his it wasn't my choice.
