Bill I wish I had the money and time to replicate your wraith. I am very impressed with its abilities and appearance.

Thanxs. I was just having an after dinner "test session" and I just snapped both the "hockey stick" bumper supports that go back to the chassis. Now I don't want an updated bumper from DMG or BGR, I need it!!!!

When they are built nearly bullet proof, they can be driven harder!!!!

Yes, my backyard is a great testing ground!

Well, I thought I would try the same rock bouncing area with my Wroncho Bug that my Wraith couldn't quite accomplish.....and the outcome isn't what I expected.

Better weight distribution with the bug maybe?

If I'm ever up your way, I want to come crawl your back yard. It's on my to-do list now.

Perhaps, smaller skid too (Wraith skid vs. SCX10 skid on the bug) Both utilize Blue Monkey trailing arms. ROC412 (Wraith) vs. HH BL 540 Pro (HH is definitely a torque monster). Now that I know the line to attempt, I will have to try it again with the Wraith....except I have to wait for a new front bumper supports!!!!

I drove down to TX two summers ago.....The one and only Jesse James invited me to his home in Austin. Would love to get back to that beautiful state one day soon.

It looks like shorter wheel base, maybe more skid clearance, and a bit narrower track width helped that bug compared to the Wraith. I wouldn't have expected that before watching the vids! Nice rigs

The Bug's wheelbase is 13 7/8" and the Wraith is at 14 5/8". The track width is the same, the Bug uses VP aluminum axles and the Wraith uses VP Currie axles. I certainly didn't expect the results either. In the grand scheme though, each section of rocks is going to be very circumstantial and even an inch difference of hitting the same line can change everything! Nonetheless, I certainly love driving each machine.

Those two kids are the offspring of the guy driving the modified Ascender body and often they do have their own rigs to crawl with.
