Thanxs guys. It's been a while since I have been on RZRForums...sold the machine a couple years ago. It's much nicer wrenching the RCs on my indoor workbench than wrenching on the RZR in the garage though! Here's a couple shots from the weekend.... Last edited by bilinvic; 07-05-2017 at 10:08 PM. |

I was getting too much wheel slop with the Axial CVD axles, so I got myself a pair of the new Vanquish Products Wraith VVD V1-HD 4mm Axles....no more slop. I also changed out the VooDoo's foams from the Pitbull foams to Crawler Innovations 5.5 Double Deuce Pair (2) - SOFT Outer - Comp Cut. My Wraith ran absolutely incredible crawling lines today. Now I'm commencing the procedure of waterproofing the whole rig because in my part of the world, our winter consists of lots of rain, no snow! Here's a few pics... The Wraith received a few new parts and a new look...since the last post, it has been completely waterproofed. In fact, the whole rig has been pretty much been 100% submerged and no electronic glitches whatsoever (knock on wood!!!) I added VP's CMS and 3 link Panhard kit. I changed out the VP steering link for RC4WD's Superlift Adjustable Steering Stabilizer. I modded this part with better link ends and sleeved the adjustable rod with aluminum tube to further strengthen the assembly plus it covers any exposed threaded sections of the link. New Axial 2.2 Falken Wildpeak tires. New Axial Spawn body. Although I have modded my Wraith to a fastback, the body fit's perfect and seems to have lots of integral strength without the rear roof bracing. I like how the fast back can be seen through the rear "windows". Last edited by bilinvic; 07-05-2017 at 10:37 PM. |

The next round of mods for my Wraith is completed! I put her on a "Low COG Diet" by swapping in the new Wraith Spawn interior which is quite a bit lighter than the older version; also provides lots of room underneath to mount the electronics. The MMP got moved from the rear deck to underneath the driver's seat and my second electronics box was removed in it's entirety. I modified an AE-2 ESC mount to accept the MMP. Since the above modifications pretty much required a full teardown, I also mounted Blue Monkey's Wraith Stage 2 Trailing Arm Kit. It's a really nice kit, but it definitely took time to tune properly and when using large bore Pro-Line (Slash Rears) shocks, I had to get creative to make enough clearance to use these shocks. I did have a quad rear shock set-up at first, and it was working pretty good, but decided I wanted to use the Pro-Line shocks to match the front...besides, these shocks perform awesome. I also had to swap out the rear MIP driveshaft for a JunFac hardened steel driveshaft since they utilize smaller "bells" for the CV. I was also considering going with the DMG rear Stiffy (trailing arm) kit, but decided I didn't quite like the looks of the sharp rear cut-off....not to mention the hefty price tag. I can't wait to run this rig with all the recent mods....I gotta feeling it's going to kill the Rocky Mountains! Here's the pics: Last edited by bilinvic; 07-05-2017 at 10:43 PM. |

As I suspected, this Wraith was outstanding in the rocks. The trailing arms' rear articulation was awesome and stabilized the rig when the front end was overcoming the rough terrain. I had no issues with the CMS / 3-link / Panhard set-up, worked perfectly. The new Axial Falken Wildpeak 2.2 tires were fantastic (Axial foams). They performed incredibly well on the rocks and in the mud. They gripped hard in soft-pack and stuck really well when climbing our Rocky Mountain terrain, even in the wet. I may have to get another set for my other Wraith now! The blue Poison Spyder Wraith in the video is my Son's (7 years old). Last edited by bilinvic; 01-13-2015 at 02:28 PM. |

I watched that Vid last night as I'm subscribed to NoStopin. Looked a fun trail. The Little Blue FJ always does really well in every video I see it in which is a surprise as most of the rigs have much bigger wheels than him. |

I hear ya...the blue FJ is basically a stock SCX10 driven by a child and it pains me when it does better than mine in some areas!!!!

| Re: bilinvic's Wraith Rock Crawler Iv'e been following your threads for some time now. You definitely build some pretty nice wraiths too, looks like you have a few sweet collection of CAC E-Z lock wheels also. I always see different wheels on your rig and in your videos too. |
