Default 4ws set up ?

Was just wondering what radio you have to use ti get the 4ws steer to be fully functional. And by that i mean being able to only run front, only rear, crab, or 4ws. I am currently just running mine through a y-harness to the other servo and it works good just I've been in situations where i need to crab over or only shift the rear. I am using the Flysky gt3b 3 channel transmitter. Is there a way to set it up to work on that radio? Or will i need to break down and just by a high dollar transmitter. If thats the case some recommendations would be nice too

4ws is awesome on my dx4r. Does all 4 modes and the mixing is built in to the software. Pretty sure all the dx4's have this. As far as your radio, maybe try in that forum, if there is one.

RC4WD makes a 3 channel radio specifically for 4ws. It'll do what you want, but personally I'd suggest going with a better radio with an additional channel or two for future upgrades.

the dx4r is a spectrum correct? i see a lot of people also suggest the futaba 4pl but i see it was discontinued and they now have the 4pls i think it is. has anyone used this one? wondering if it still had the 4ws mixing option. i figure it does considering its 50 dollars more than the one before it.

also has anyone tried the one from rc4wd? have another wraith i may go 4ws with and i like to have diff setups. may grab that radio and give it a try for that one if any of y'all have tried it or have any feedback on it

The 4pls and 4pl are the same price but the only difference is the 4pls has telemetry. Its also rummored the 4pls is more durable than the older model.

For under $30 you can hack your fly sky and have your 4ws any way you want it.

Why pay $300+ for a radio?

But hey it is your $$$ put it where you want to!

Awesome i wish i had known about the camber kits before. i just ordered a kit for sure though. And i did end up going the more expensive route and bought a futaba 4pl. But i got a good price from a guy on here and it came with 2 4channel rx's so I can put both my rigs on it. and all the mixing and tuning options is well worth it.
