Default Does anyone run a Pro4 4000kv?

Just what the title says. Just curious. I know that's a lot a motor but I'd like to see it!

I used to but I switched to the Pro4 4300 HD. The HD has a smoother power band.

Running a Pro4 3300kv with the RC4WD AX2 2 speed tranny in my wraith project. Plenty of wheel speed to suit my tastes in high gear, and the crawl-ability I desire in low. I love it so far, but I dont have as much experience with it as some others here.

And isnt that Wraith Buggy "Crunchy"? Careful with the high powered motors, you'll end up with a small fortune invested by the time its all said and done.

So does the 4000kv actually fit in the wraith or is there some trimming to be done where the back right link support/connection?
I know the Pro4 3100 fits fine. However I needed to trim a little off of the link support for the Roc412 3100kv to fit. I'm running 32p 56/15.

I realize the 4000 is the HD version. So it's a tad longer. But it should have better low end supposedly.

I have the 4000kv and it was handful, even on 3S. I had to keep it geared down.

Ya I think I'm going end up throwing it up on the classifieds. Or maybe trade for something.

The 4000 I had was the short can. The 4300 HD that I run now is the longer can.

I cant help. My rig doesn't have the stock wraith skid. I think I read that the upper rear link mount has to be trimmed to fit a 550 motor.

Its a lot of kV but nor much power . Its under 1500 what's

Had to trim to fit my turnigy 1/8 scale. 2650 watts on 5s.

This motor amazes the tekin powered rigs around here

Even clearenced the cooling rips off the motor to clear with 56/14 gears

How do you keep your drive train together with all power?

You dont, you just listen for the snap and then do your next round of upgrades.

In reality you just take it easy on the throttle in areas where something can get bound up. If you've got a heavy throttle finger and are always going full blast then having a 4000kv motor might hurt your pocket book with the repairs.
