Default MMP and 3s

Do you have to do anything special to run 3s on the MMP? I have a small pack I want to try and see how much different 2s is to 3s. I have Alls still drive train btw.

Plug it in and run it! Beware though, once you go 3s you wont go back.

You just need to have the lipo cutoff set to auto or 3s. If you use auto its a good habit to listen to the startup chimes and make sure the correct cell count is heard.

Wow. Ya 3s IS bad. So how would 3s 30c compare to a 2s 70c? Would it be close in performance?

I'm new to the lipo setup myself, but I'm loving 3s so far.

3s, 20c 5000mah lipo
Mamba Max Pro
Pro4 3300kv
AX2 2 speed trans

When in basher mode it gets up and goes! If not for the rear sway bar the torque twist would be an issue. Crawler mode is great, got plenty of power to get over obsticles and up hills when needed.

Damn. The reality of running BL is you have to your wraith built solid with metal and aluminum from motor to the wheels to somewhat ensure no breakage.

When you start getting into the more powerful motor / esc setups there is no guaranteed build for no breakage. You build it as tough as you can, go easy on the throttle if you get a tire or something bound up.

X2

My wraith is pretty well built but the 3656sd on 4s will break parts at a moments notice. You have to be very careful if there is any chance of a bind. Its well worth it though. Seeing the tires stretch into pizza cutters on the dirt climbs is pretty awesome.

Bent the front left axle. Not on 3s just 2s. The outer shaft already had plenty if wear on it so it was just a matter of time. Order some universals and some HD gears and VP diff lock.

Yeah I sheared the flange of the left rest axle on mine on 2s. Was the Axial redesigned one too. Took the original one and dremmeled the flange down a bit and it works fine for now. Will look into an upgrade later. BL breaks rigs.

So are the universal ones better? I hope. I just ordered some. I suppose at least they eliminate the rest axle set up. Are the VPS the best you can get?

You won't ever hurt the universals on 2s. They turn sharper than the CVD style shafts too.
