Default Signal interference with metal panels

I recently made and fitted some metal body panels to my wraith but seem to be getting interference between the transmitter and the receiver. The car moves then jolts, cuts in and out and jerks about, almost as if im on and off the throttle. When I put the stock lexan panels on, all is fine. Has anyone else come across/overcome this problem?

It is located under the hood panel in the stock receiver box. Been running the lexan panels all weekend with no problems whatsoever.

Another issue could be that your metal panels are grounding out to something else, another component. OR -I've also had the antena wire fall/break off at the receiver. You might check there for an intermittent short.

Cecked the panels and they dont seem to be touching any other electrical items. Im running a Spektrum DX3C transmitter with the SR300 that came with it. Been out for 2 hours tonight in the same place i get the interference and the car was running perfect. Might have to stick with the lexan panels.

Have you tried repositioning the antenna?

Not yet. The antenna wire is only about 3 inches long.
