Newb advice

Hello all, I'm new to the crawling world as I race rc's 2-3 days a week. I'm picking up a Wraith kit this afternoon. I'm pulling the electronics out of my SCTE to put in it just to get going. The esc is and RX8 and the motor is a pro4 4600kv.. I know it's overkill but I'm looking for a good starting point for gearing on 2s 5000mah batteries.

Thanks!

If it's 48 pitch I run my 4100kv motor on a 3 or 2 cell lipo 14t pinion and 93t spur gear. It gets warm after a while but never gets hot.

Do yourself a favor and get a Castle Creations BEC and Castle Link. Then go 3S and never look back!

Be prepared so spend a good chunk of money on the drivetrain with that powerplant.

Upgrade to 32 pitch gears, 48 pitch can't handle that Pro4 power. Get a few 54T spur gears and then pick up some pinions ranging from 9T- 14T. With my 6.5T sensored motor, I think I'm running an 11T pinion and a 54T spur.

By the way, we are no strangers to the Pro4 motors and MMPs/RX8s.

Thanks guys! I figured you would be familiar with that set up.. Since I know nothing about crawlers I wanted some experienced advice.
