Default Help with stiffining the cage after mod

I did the typical FB mod on the Bronco. But now the GM piggy backs when compressed, flex the hock mount area. Is there a good way to strengthen this area? Looking for some ideas.

Also, are HD beveled gears worth buying? Do the stock ones ever break? I run Roc412 3100kv and MMP.

Mount a standoff in between the shock mounts

I like to ditch the stock mounts all together. Yes the stock gears fold the teeth over pretty easy if you don't have them shimmed really tight. The HD OD gears are a little stronger and the stock ratio HD gears and the UD HD gears are quite a bit stronger than the stock gears.

Thanks fellas. I'll have to put some thought into stiffening it up. I was thinking there was a go to remedy. But that'd be no fun. Lol

An Axial 55mm post fits assuming you removed the battery tray.

You'll need to either change out the coarse thread shock mount screws for fine thread though, 25mm long should do, or use the fine thread screw through one of the other mount holes your not using.

Take a look at this picture. I've also seen pics of this done with stock plastic cage.
