Will the Pro4's take a 4s? I just looked it up. The one I have, the 3300kv will only take a 3s max. Bummer? Man, I wonder what it would do hooked up to RC4WD's 2 speed!? I'll bet that would be insane! If I can't power up, I can gear up! Last edited by Hwheeler73; 05-09-2014 at 08:07 PM. |

I run all of it on 4s! Once the 90 day warranty is up, it costs the same to have it fixed... Then again, this was my last rotor.. The top and bottom, clean looking, magnets, are separating from the armature.. New one showed up yesterday. | |

It's cheap fun and well worth it! I can't wait to dump a 5 or 6s in it!

Hmmmm I made a deal with myself to not run more then 4s anymore. Looking into the speed app. Okay ap is installed will see what 3s does first. Guesn 15 or so 150 trackstar esc, turnigy 2100kv 1/8 scale. 56/14 32p cant remember what gears are in the axles. axle gears are a routine failure no matter what i put in so ive since forgotten. tires are rb2 battery is rhino 3s 2200 40c discharge 4s. runs are on my loose gravel driveway and slid sideways and tumbled through the sheet grass. al luck would have it i cant find my cable to make a 5s out of 2 and 3s so my speed run testing is done ;) for now. with paddles on the rear and in the sand she handles like a formula one care so maybe speed runs will happen later on. paddles are 6" wich also increases ground speed. topping off a 4s. also thinking about trying 5sbut itgets uncontrolable and my phones straped to outside of the cage because it doesnt fit inside. also had some steering issues for first runs. can now kinda guess at the 5s and 6s speeds. 3s on 2100k can climb most things. cut pitts freaking rock on the rocks and in the dirt. i so wish more people would hack on there tires slow motion on 3s with the tsl probly 10mph with the smaller rubber still climbs most things Last edited by evan03; 05-30-2014 at 05:55 AM. |

Hmm.. Might try a different program than My Tracks, not sure how accurate it is. Could just be my misguided perception as well, seems alot quicker than this. 13.23 mph as a top speed. Pro4 3300kv with an AX2 two speed trans in high gear, 15/54 32p gearing on 3s with 2.2 ripsaw tires. |

That sounds pretty slow with that gearing and a 2 speed.. But from my experience, My tracks, is pretty spot on. I tested it against other apps, speedometer's, and my pedal bikes tach.. For years I rode bike and stopped using a tach when I realized My Tracks was good.. I'll be testing tomm maybe. Have to replace parts.. Shot it up this tree from the right side of my son (his left arm). I was dam near nosed up to the limb on the left. About 12' up.. Blipped the throttle and came down on all 4's.. Straight down! And so it goes.. It landed hard and didn't rebound. I only had front wheel drive as well.. NEXT!!! |

Crunchy rides again! Jeeze dude, I'd hate to have your repair bills. But it's all good. I killed two front ring and pinions on Saturday alone. Time for some aluminum housings to hold this together.. looks like for you as well. |

It's a cheep fix.. I have the stock housings I took off for the Dlux housings with 16mm bearings. I can see why backing off to a 13mm bearing was a good move. Then again, I don't think they are naturally meant to drop 12' out of the sky and take the Sudden stop at the bottom! ???? Edit.. Yes.. I think it might be time for some aluminum housings tho.. Just not the Currie's.. Do they still make the aluminum housings that aren't Currie's? Last edited by winnerone23; 05-26-2014 at 07:44 PM. |

Ran mine last night with the Cellphone strapped to it. Hobbywing 3400KV motor with MMP ESC and a 2S. Geared with 32 p I think 15 or 16 pinion with 56 Spur = 13.6 MPH. I figured it was slow watching it but I'm used to my Stampede which is pretty quick. I think I'm going to need to build another one more Formula Offroad style . 3S is in the mail as I type though so I will be curious to see how it boosts the speed. Certainly won't be the "fastest" by any stretch .
