Battery Location?

Looking for advice regarding the stock battery location on the Wraith. On my SCX10 Rubi, I moved the battery to the front to put the weight up there. But it seems like the stock location on the Rubi was a lot higher above the axles than on the Wraith. With aluminum axle housings and wheels, do you think I have enough of the weight down low to put the battery in the stock location, or will this give me trouble in the rocks?

If the recommendation is to move it forward, I'd like to see your set-ups for ideas. I looked at the write-up on the Axial site, but I'm not seeing how the modified tray is affixed to the chassis.

I'm running 3S 3400mah batteries.

No pics handy right now, but I easily fit my 3s 5000 packs just under the hood, behind the firewall. I used the battery straps and a couple pieces of foam wedged in there to keep it secure, free mod, and awesome.

The tray fixes to the chassis part that holds the esc bracket, pull out the screw that holds that in, get it out of the way & drop the battery tray in & you'll see it line up pretty close to the center hole in the battery tray.



On mine I've drilled another hole in the battery tray to move it forward but thats only because of that gray fire wall panel I've got in there.
