Do you have the RTR or kit version, kit comes with uni's that are better and can be modded for more steering, search on here as it's been covered before.

I gained quite a few degrees of steering by just going from the dog bones in the rtr to the Universals. That is a 100% must for more angle if you don't already have them. If you do however I'd look into the knuckles and chubs as those are probably rubbing.

CVD in the front is a must on a RTR. A longer clamp-on style servo horn does help. Also get either the VP ackerman steering arms or something like crawlingcalvin's arms out of the vendors section. They will give you more angle. |

| Re: more steering angle on wraith? I strongly disagree. Universals are capable of much more steering angle than cvds. They also don't have to sacrifice material around the pin to gain steering travel so they are typically stronger as well.

I meant Universals. Try googling Axial CVD like I just did. It comes up as the same thing. For our "rigs" atleast. Obvioualy they are NOT the same for 1:1rigs

Universal, not CVD. You want NON ACKERMAN in a crawler as this will give you the most steering. Ackerman arms are good if it's a high speed machine and you want straight line stability. | |

The dude will hate me but I always push the dinky steering set up. I would not recommend a longer servo arm on a rtr servo. I've been running stock universals and the provide more steering then I have servo power. The last thing I'd do is install a longer servo arm. Let's leave that to the hitech fan boys ;) |

Installing a longer servo arm is the equivalent of gearing up, but for a servo. If it can handle it and the mechanical setup is capable then sure why not. I agree the universals are mostly capable. At full lock and on power is a rough situation for any steering setup. Can't comment on the dinky mount so much, its a comp crawler part. |

The arm on the dinky set up is swinging towards the center this creates more throw. On the stock steering it would s swinging away. I kinda like the looks compared to the stock steering. I can run a one hole closer on the servo arm and have about the same steering as the stock set up on the furthest outer hole on my servo arm Last edited by evan03; 05-24-2014 at 06:24 AM. |

Another vote for 4WS. That is the only way to make a wraith turn tight. It's cheap enough to do.

I've popped a couple universals at the joint, but feel comfortable calling it idiot driving when I did it. They are worth their price. Anything at full lock can be weak...
