| Re: Poison spider Sweet! Don't let her see the credit card statement next month, and it always helps to order your parts to be delivered when you are home. My wife got real tired of seeing the UPS man every other day. |

Lol. She bought it for me and gave me a 100 dollar gift card to go with it as she knows I can't leave any if my rigs alone. What are some of the first things I should do. I plan on moving the battery tray tonight but am still unsure if I want to go compcrawler or racer with it. I already have a rubicon as a trail rig so I'm leaning towards comp crawler.

Re-gear it to save the stock motor, use the 100 towards a servo. Those will be the first 2 problems most likely.

The stock gearing is too tall. You'll cook your motor. Gear it down. Then read the stickies at the top of the wraith page it's all there. Harley explains everything you need to know in those threads. Good luck with the wraith. Let the upgrades begin.

| Re: Poison spider Still running on my stock motor more than a month later. My friend who got one at the same time has already fried the stock 20t and a new 19t that was geared Down with a 18t pinion. Im actually trying to drive mine harder but still can't seem to hurt it. imo first thing you should do is drop the skid and cover plate and make sure the three screws on your spur gear are locked down.

Mine burnt up from crawling at slow speed. Actually I didn't completely fry the motor, it still works. I had it smoking pretty good though one day on a rock pile. Replaced it anyway. |

I only ran the stock motor once in my 2.2 wraith. But that motor is still going strong on my 1.9 wraith and that's running 3s. If you gear them right it will last a little while.
