| Need help spending money!
Ok so here it is... I purchased a used wraith for a " too good to be true" price. It's all stock and has a bad servo. It also has a Traxxis XL5 ESC and runs on lipo 2 cell...I want to start making it into a solid crawler. Strictly going to be crawling with the occasional wheel speed to get up and over. I have $450 to throw at it and don't know where to start, or more or less want to start in the right places with it... I am new to the RC world and have fell in love with it. I will be upgrading all the time but have $450 to throw down now. I want a lower center of gravity, low gear ratio. Post up with input on parts, where to start, and best bang for the $? Thanks in advance!

Savox 1230 is what you want savox 1280 even better. But there are good serves that cost pennies compared to these. I think with 450 to spend I'd throw in a decent charger to. Something that will do 10amps. 200 watts. Motor and ESC can be had for cheap if you can stay away from the tekin and castle name brands. By cheap I mean 15 bucks for a high power 900 kV brush less motor. Be care full. 450 isn't near enough for this forum. These guys will eat that up with a servo power combo. |

ESC. I love the track star ESC Radio Control Planes, Helicopters, Cars, Boats, FPV and Quadcopters - Hobbyking* Servo http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=23597 I love this servo. Its futaba spline Motor http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=24243 Will run with tekin brushed motors but with gobs more power. This is a out runner so wet environments not good. Though I did mine slightly wet with no I'll effects. Its an out runner so it seems to deflect the dirt. I was afraid dirt would eat mine up but it didn't. Very smoofh Metal clamping servo arm http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=23598 R2j links http://thescaleaddict.com/index.php?...product_id=159 Not sure this is a good link These mods will leave room to Max driveshafts. Metal tranny gears and axial universals. Good luck Last edited by evan03; 06-04-2014 at 08:46 PM. |

Just be ready for a month shipping at hobbyking! I get my batteries there tho!!! Nothing wrong with off brand at all but have had issues with warranty unlike tekin, castle & especially holmes!!! Brushless is kinda a overkill for a pure crawler setup IMO! I have the 3100kv in my wraith but it's not my crawler, but does ok with it being sensored... but no brushless sys I used has superior low end & smooth torque when needed like hand wound brushed. |

Awesome for 10 bucks I love them. I cracked my savox servo cast and it alone was 10 bucks. That servo can run high voltage 7.4 volts just so you know |
