Default Topcad gears

So I know Topcad aren't the best products by any means but I am looking at their gear set Axial Wraith Heavy Duty Gear Set Black TopCad 23035 I need to find some hardened gears for my wraith ASAP I'm on my second set of trans gears and I don't want to be dead in the water when they break again. I know that Robinson gears are by far the best, I was trying to run the hot racing set but rpp's out of stock so I checked asiatees. I am not running huge power just a Titan 550 but I do hard trail bashing as well as slow crawling with lots of binds that take power to pop out of. I really use the ultra 4 aspect of this car. Let me know of any experiences with the gears good or bad.

IMO I would hop on eBay and get a set of the hot racing light weight gears.

No replies not surprising. I've never heard of them either. Looks suspicious.

I wouldn't say robinson gears are the best. Hot racing steel gears are as good if not better in my opinion.

Don't buy them. They shark toothed up on me real quick, granted 3s and sensored brushless didn't help. I'd second the hot racing gears though.

Some topcad furniture stuff isn't bad, their internals are however not good at all.

I believe thetoyz has the HR gears in stock. They also carry other HR wraith items like the knuckles and sway bars. Waiting on a shipment of the same myself actually.

Im not saying I'm a fan of all hot racing products, but there steel gears are actually of great quality. I beleive super shafty even uses them in there bomb proof transmissions.
