Default Recommended Wraith Motor?

Hi all, I am running the stock ESC and Motor in my Wraith (I have the poison spyder) and I was just wondering could I put a smaller turn motor in, like a 12t maybe?? I am running Overlander Lipos 2s
Thanks a lot

"Yes" but the wraith is big and heavy. A 12t motor, unless its high quality, will burn up / have very little torque.
A lot of people run 35t motors and 3s batteries.
I like the traxxas 21t 550 titan motors.

Your question leaves lots of room for interpretation.

I have seen single digit turn brushed up to 1/8 scale giant brushless motors in a Wraith.

You will be limited by the esc. I wouldn't go lower than a 20T on 2s in a stock ae-2, others will say otherwise.

If you don't have much money and if you want a motor that will take you to the gates of hell and back get the Integy 35 turn motor. To be completely honest with you I thought this motor was going to be a load of crap when I first purchased it. I have cooked it four times with smoke coming out of it and the damn thing keeps going. I am a true believer in these inexpensive motors. My two cents.

Thanks for the advice, I was thinking of going brushless but I also go through quite a lot or water as my ae2 is waterproofed now. But I can't seem to find a brushless setup that's sensored and waterproof

Thanks a lot
