Like everyone says it comes down to driving style. I destroyed most every part on my wraith with my pro4 and now the whole driveline is upgraded. Bombproof trans, MIPS, hd gears and lockers, axle shafts, alum axle housings, suspension links, etc, etc, etc. drive it right it will be ok. Drive it like me and get ready to spend some cash. ;)

I heard that the roc 412 isn't that great overall, even with a RS and the Hotwire, it is really "jumpy" but thats just what I heard. Now say if you want a brushed system for your wraith then a Holmes Hobby 13t crawlmaster with a BR-XL would be boss especially on 3s. It has great torque and enough wheel speed.

Well thanks for the input everybody, right now I'm kinda leaning more towards a lower turn brushed motor but I can't get onto Holmeshobbies.com for some reason, anybody else having that problem ?

Hey, I know this is off topic but do you happen to know if you have to have a certain amount of posts before you can upload a profile pic ?

Well a low turn brushed motor is fun and all, but if your hill climbing, they'll overheat, and if you get dirt in them it's the end of their lives

Well I'm mostly going to be trailing and slow crawling so a brushed motor is pretty much perfect, but if I ever change my mind I'll just swap it out with a brushless

I don't know who persuaded you into thinking you can't crawl with a sensored tekin motor, but i can out crawl brushed motors, then go fun 25mph down the street

Well then apparently I got some misinformation, I knew they couldn't crawl like a brushed motor but I thought they had at least some crawling capability

Many can't feel the difference in startup between brushed and sensored brushless, but when you pull the trigger... You'll know. Some quality handwound motors can compare to 2pole brushless motors, 4pole motors however blow anything brushed outta the water.

I dont agree with statement above(brushedis run in water & easy to rebuilt) you will not crawl better than brushed or moa rigs would run brushless plus brushed is smoother than brushless all day!
GUARANTEED. I have owned or still own most listed above & brushless is a beast no doubt but no comparison to the brushed in pure crawlers! Running the HH 13t 500 puller motors in xr & 35t pro with amazing startup with tons of torque which no brushless motor can have the startup & smooth throttle these have.

The wraith is better IMO with brushless setup considering it's a rock "racer" & it want crawl as good as scx,ax10 based rigs.
