Default Whats with 1.9 wheels?

What is it about the 1.9" wheels that a lot of you are switching to? I would think everyone would want to go bigger to roll over things better? What am I missing here?

Smaller, more maneuverable, 1.9s are a drivers tire and emphasize line choice which makes you a better driver, not to mention they are far more scale. Not for everyone, but the people who do have 1.9 Wraiths dont miss AR60s and 2.2s at all

Oh ok, I can see that, you must REALLY need to pick your lines carefully with the loss of ground clearance too.

Because a lot of rigs look rediculous with 2.2's...way out of scale proportion.

I've wondered this myself. But if you look at how the sizes of tires are all over the place these days, I guess it makes sense. Many of the 1.9" tires available are just as big or bigger than many 2.2" tires out there.

I'm having more fun with the 1.9's than I did with the 2.2's for sure. Longer WB and wider axles got hung up a lot at out normal trail spot, even with larger tires...with 1.9's, SCX axles and a shorter overall WB, can get in and out of places I never could before. Having a blast with it personally.

All of the above....2.2 tires (and huge 1.9s) and super wide axles are getting out of hand and it's not as much fun. I prefer the challenge of having to pick my lines carefully instead of just blindly gassing it up and over anything I point the truck at.

Guess I will have to practice more before I try 1.9's, my wraith with 2.2's spends a lot of time flipping on to it's back! Same with the lowering and droop kits, I get hung up enough as it is without loosing ground clearance from a droop.
