Hey guys, im wondering who has done the summit trans in a wraith and how fitment works. Please let me know

It will work but the motor ends up where people typically put the battery in front of the dash. I have a summit trans for sale if you want to try it.

I have 2 summit trans i just dont see how to mount it without the bottom coming out of the skid! Any input or pix of how its mounted? Thx

Search for RBGerrish's build. He installed one when the Wraith's first came out.

In my opinion, it's a poor choice due to the size of the trans and the positioning of the motor weight. But I do understand the want to use what you may already have.

Thanks Harley, I just want an affordable durable 2speed and figured why not if I already have it! So I assume your referring to motor location killing lcg?

Totally understand that.

Yeah motor location and overall size of the trans is my biggest heartache with those transmissions. I used one in an IFS car I built in 2009 but that was really the last time I had played with one.

that would actually really suit my wraith as I run 2x hard cells down each side of the cockpit on mine
