Default Robinson Racing slipper unit

Installed the 48p 88t Robinson racing spur and slipper unit. In less than 5 mins of run time it is slipping horribly. Tried tightening the unit down and same thing. And I know its not an install issue because another wraith I owned had this same unit on it and had the same issues. I have the slash 32p upgrade with RR slipper and have no issues at all. So whats the deal.

Did you make sure the slipper pad is in place?
You can also scuff up the contact surface a little.

Scuffed it up and added a washerbehind spring to make it hold tighter

I didn't want all the hassle of a slipper unit, so I put a Locked Up RC slipper eliminator on my SCX10, and on my Wraith.
I really like the slipper eliminator on my SCX10. My Wraith is still under construction, so I haven't ran it yet. It makes switching over to 32 pitch very easy!!!
