Axial cvd starting to get some play...replacement options?

So I spun the front locker in my wraith. As I was pulling them out I noticed the axial cvd's I've had for a while are starting to get some
play. Should I just order another set or save up for the spendy vanquish cvd's

From what I've been reading on here most people recommend the axial uni's over the vp cvd's so I would save your money, how much play/wear do they have.

Eh they're not falling apart but I don't like the play. Guess I'll run em

A bit of movement won't hurt anything. Just keep an eye on the wear."thumbsup"

I have an old set of Axial cvd's just like yours and they take the power of a big brushless on 3s lipo just fine. I would invest in the Vanquish lockers though, they are a two piece design in which the inner locker rides inside the outer spool suspended on 2 O-rings. This design absorbs hard shocks to the axles and makes them last a bit longer. good luck, j

The lockers will make a big difference and you can also shim the cvd at the pin before you put your hex's on. I have found that helps a lot.
