Default Binding in Front Axle

Have installed the heady-duty pinion/ring (13/3 in my stock/plastic front axle. Have added beef tubes and locked up rc spool. The gears are not meshing correctly. Any idea what I have done wrong? Did the same to my rear axle, but no issues there. The stock plastic axle housing "looks" straight, but something is up. Have also replaced all bearings.

Something is messing with the gear mesh with the pinion and ring gears.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Unmount the chubs / knuckles and pull axles out the locker, see if the ring and pinion spins freely. If it does, it could mean interference between the beef tubes, axles and locker.

Or try slackening the bearing caps and see if it frees up. You have to separate everything and reassemble piece by piece until the binding issue shows up. You installed too many new parts to track it down in one shot..

This and may need a little shimming, although my Wraith axles needed way less than SCX axles.

Have to shim your pinion just like in a 1:1 until you find the happy spot. Haha. But try pulling the shafts first, doubt that's the issue though.
