I just like that name.... Wraith kit Poison spider body Cappu 5 spoke wheels with tsl's 6 oz per wheel. Tekin fxr esc Holmes hobbies torque master pro 35t Hitec 7954sh Hot racing 120mm shocks front and rear. Axial dig unit I installed a honcho bed in the rear. This made using the stock rear shock tower piece not possible. So I ran a link between the two forward mouthing locations and mounted the shocks up there. I also shortened the wheelbase to 12.75" by shortening the front links. By doing that I biased all the weight forward more. Also now the wheels are in the wheel wells. This thing performs very well now. I rarely get hung on the skid. |

As requested. I used tmaxx springs in the rear and wraith stock springs in the front. Full compression. Full droop. The front drooping so much helps me find something to grab over a cliff to pull the rear over. Downside is it can unload on hill climbs, but I have been running my winch on the front axle to suck it down on steep climbs. I may put a center limiting strap on it at some point. Belly shot of the links. I forgot to post up top, the whole chassis has been sprayed with Rustoleum bed liner. It gives the cage a nice newer look. Hides all the rock rash from the previous owner. |

You've really done some new and inventive mods to your Wraith, keep your engineering brain going, there's no telling what you may come up with next. Those rear shocks are really mounted forward, right behind the seats, you could run trailing arms without having to buy a special upper shock mount or stiffy kit, those things get expensive.

I had thought about trailing arms. I need to build some and see if I can get the droop matched and see how it handles.

I really like the shortened wheelbase mod. I have Crawler Innovations links and they are slightly shorter than the stock Axial lower links.. so it reduces the wheelbase a tad. I really like how my wraith performs and my biggest obstacle when in rocks is preventing it from bottoming out.. |

My front lowers are 3.75" and my uppers are 3.5". Stock lowers are 5", don't remember what the uppers are. I think this wheelbase is my favorite for g6 style crawling. Not sure how it would do rock racing and jumping. Probably nose heavy and would buck a lot, but that now what this build was for. Going to build another in the next week or so for speed.
