Question hello I have a question

I'm new to the wraith but not new to RC and not new to axial, I have a honcho and exo.
I got this wraith off of eBay and its on its way. Here's what it has.

Axial Wraith- artr, add your battery and rx/tx
poison spider skins
Mamba max pro with stock 20t motor
Steering servo is some type of waterproof stocker, works great
-bmrc titanium links
-bmrc titanium steering links
- metal geared transmission
- alum wraith shock
- strc knuckles, c hubs, lockouts, diff covers and 4 link in black
- batt fwd conversion with metal plate for cms hookup
- dinky drop bed
- hood hinge mod
- rc4wd punisher driveshaft yokes with traxxas shafts (not pictured)
- 2.2 rc4wd Baja claws with Crawler Innovation foams , axial 8 hole beadlocks, weighted

That's what the description says, the seller also said it has universals, idk what that means.

I paid 450. Wanting to make sure I got a good deal. Thanks! I'll try to get pics up when I get it. I use my phone though.

it all sounds like a good investment and a fairly solid truck. I would recomend a metal gear steering servo 300+ oz the more the better, castle bec (dont forget to remove red wire off esc), make sure to check gearing on the spur and pinion (axial motor doesnt tend to work the best). recomend you check the gearings and make sure to grease the gears in both axles and transmission. The axial beadlock wheeels tend to not hold the tire to the rim very well but super glue can fix that issue if you dont want to upgrade those. Run it till something breaks then replace with something better. And dont forget to have fun.

I second the recommendation to swap out the servo - non waterproof but the Solar D772 is a great servo for little outlay. Add a BEC to keep it happy with power ;)

universal are the shafts from the axle gears right through to the wheels - these are standard in kit versions, but RTR versions came with dogbone ended axle rods and drivecupped wheel axles. There are lots of aftermarket universals - some of the cheaper ones from GPM Racing / TopCad / Integy are perhaps of dubious quality in that they are not necessarily any stronger than the RTR set up. Vanquish Products will do you a nice set of universals at a price, the Axial universals are pretty good though.

The stock 20T motor will have to be replaced imo.. you already got the MMPro ESC, so a sensored brushless motor will be an easy upgrade for you. I'd run it as is and change out parts whenever stuff fails, but the Wraith seems well built. The STRC stuff are really good, so too are the BMRC links. Batt forward is a must with these and the Axial Universals are strong front axles. It would cost you a lot more than $450 to buy a RTR Wraith and add that list of mods.

I'd recommend you check all bearings when you get it though.. make sure nothing is seizing up.. otherwise, enjoy!

Hey all!!
I got my wraith and it looks amazing. A lot better than I was expecting.
The tires look like they have never touched the ground too so that's awesome.
The only thing I notice that's off is that the drive shafts are staring to look like twizzlers :/ no big deal though I guess.
It roll super smooth so squeaks or grinds or cogging.
The servo is one I've not heard of, 625wp is on the front. It has a horizon hobby llc sticker on the back.

Throw up some pics when you get a chance. In the 'free or cheap mods' thread, you will find a few suggestions on how to fix the driveshafts. I suspect the previous owner had a different, more powerful motor in it and reinstalled the stock 20T just to sell it. It's unusual to run a MMP and that lil brushed axial motor.. lol

That will do - upload pics and then copy the img links straight into the text box here

OK I'll give it a try.
I stripped the servo horn :/ oops. I got another one but I need to mod it.
Also it seems to have a bad toe problem on the left front. While the right looks straight the left looks like its turning slightly.

If you want to crawl with it get a brushless sensored motor . I run a 13.5 Novak sensored brushless motor in my scx10 comp scale rig. It has a mm pro speed control. I run it on 2s, but on 3s it's pretty fast. I would get the roc 412 3400 kv motor or the Novak motor and don't look back. That speed control was 175.00 when I bought it so I think you did good.

Not too big.. If you're using photobucket there is a tool to change the size of your pics among other edits if you want.
