A lot of shocks leak and a lot don't. Use Green Slime when building them and you'll have a 90% chance that they won't! http://www.amazon.com/Team-Associate.../dp/B0006MZS1I I use mostly G-Made and like them when I use Green Slime.... |

Teflon thread seal tape usually does the trick on leaky shocks.

I use the stock shocks with aluminum bodies from STRC. They aren't leaking.

Big bores gets my vote! No mods needed, leak free right out of the package and they are very affordable. |

I have to agree - I've not used Traxxas shocks much but they do seal well. I do like Gmade shocks, but the last ones i bought (xD piggbacks, assembled with green slime) are leaking after a month just sat on a shelf queen. I have Gmade TeamZero ones coming for my Wraith build - I've ordered a load of different Tamiya/TRF seals in an attempt to find something thats better than the Gmade seals. | |

I rebuilt my slightly leaky Wraith shocks (3 sets for 3 vehicles) using Green Slime and they work pretty well IMO. Slight residue of oil on the shaft but when I check levels the amount lost is barely measurable. Slather the O rings with slime and repack them into the dingus that holds them in place and Bobsyeruncle.

The stock kit shocks suck bad. I bought g-made XD 103 aerations for my sons Wraith and my own Wraith...and they have been flawless so far. Like others have said, green slime the shock shaft threads and the o-rings during installation and that should be all you need!!

Iv read you can use the front proline powerstrokes on all four corners as well. Gives you a little lower of a ride but still plenty of articulation. I do know the front powerstrokes are shorter then the stock wraith shock and the powerstroke rears are longer then the stock wraith. Any thoughts? I have four front powerstrokes I was hoping to be able to use on my new poison spyder.
