| Testers needed for new product - Wraith Chassis rails
I have been working on designing some chassis rails for the wraith for a few months now, and I am pretty close to releasing them. I am looking for people to test and report back about the rails. A little info here: Feeler/Preview - JCAD Scale Tech Wraith Chassis Rails And the Solidworks rendering of the product: These are designed to make the wraith chassis legal for C2 builds, and/or stiffen up the chassis. This should also be a good foundation for an Ultra4 or similar type vehicle. This is designed to use the Wraith Skid, wraith front shock mounts, and either the SCX10 or wraith rear shock mounts. Otherwise there should be no modifications to the chassis needed to swap to these rails. I need 4 people to test this product. Out of the 4, I need at least one person with a 1.9 Wraith with narrower axles (SCX10 preferred) to test fitment, and at least one person who runs their wraith fairly hard to test durability. This is not a giveaway, but since this is sort of a product announcement, I am presenting it in a similar manner. So, that means there are some rules. To be considered, you must: 1. Be a star holding member - show your support for this forum. Don't have a star? You can get one here. 2. Post one picture of your wraith chassis based rig. (If you have a vehicle on the way, I will consider you as a tester, but will need some sort of verification.) 3. Post a link to your best build thread (only one link needed). I am looking for good pictures, clear writing (grammar and punctuation are important as well), and good overall presentation. 4. Be willing to provide an objective, unbiased review on the product. I want honest feedback, and as much information as possible. What will you get as a tester? 1 set of prototype rails at a discount just above cost. 1 set of production rails at 50% off retail price. The prototype rails will be cut from .125 aluminum, then bent to shape. The adapters (rendered in red in the pic above) will be 3D printed in black ABS as well as dyed black Nylon to determine which material will be best for production. Necessary hardware will be provided. I am considering having a version made from steel to be a base for welding or brazing for custom builds, but the prototypes will be raw aluminum. Please post up your interest and the above required items to be considered. I will accept posts for this until either 4 testers are chosen, or until the end of the month. Any questions about the product, please post in the thread linked at the top of this post. Thanks! |

Here is my 1.9 Wraith...the 4401 Raptor. My main crawler and G6 rig. This is an early thread I did on my Comp Creeper build I did several years ago. This past August I brought it back and am rebuilding essentially the same truck, but with updated parts and a better camera. gottorque's Underground Creeper I would be honored to test out the new frame rails, provide an honest opinon and share on my Facebook page as well. https://www.facebook.com/TorquedRCMedia Thanks |

Thanks for the posts so far. Keep them coming. Let's keep the chat about the product and questions about it in the thread linked at the top of the first post. Really this thread should be just to post your interest in becoming a tester for this product. |

I would be interested in this as I'm planning on adding some upgrades to my Wraith in the near future. Mine is basically stock with a few minor upgrades right now(VP steering links, Savox 1256tg servo, Integy 35t brushed motor) but more upgrades are coming so I can take it out and beat the snot out of it without fear of breakage.

I run my wraith on a pro4, with a special forward motor mount tranny with dig. Problem is I've chopped the bottom off my rails and moved the skid up for more belly clearance. Wouldn't be a hard mod to this but I'm not sure it's what your looking for.... |

How's it going, I'm JJ, and I'm an rc-aholic. Wait wrong thread. anyways, I've recently just gotten my 1.9 wraith back up and running. This is my wraith thread for when it was a 2.2 tired truck. It's a well abused, used truck. I actually just put a set of new frame rails in because they got snapped in the UAR Racing we do locally. I'd be honored to help you out with testing and posting reviews here and my facebook page: High Desert RC Crawlers |

I have a 1.9 wraith. I don't have a build thread on it but would be willing to do a tear down on it and do a build up on it. Before color change. |

Thank you guys for your interest in helping test these out. I have selected the 4 testers, and hope to get testing underway ASAP. Keep an eye out for a vendor thread with pre-order information once testing is wrapping up. |
