| Crawler Innovations AR60 Monster Truck Basher Test Rig I love RC. I love driving them, building them, and having fun with them. It seems nearly every RC car heads to the open area of grass at some point. For RC cars you need a big tire to cover that terrain and to actually have some fun with. Those tires seem to scale out to be monster truck size in the 1:10 world. I don't know much about the scale size or "correct" sizing. I do know they are fun to build and bash. Here is the most recent solid axle AR60 MT at the CI garage. It's due for a rebuild, so now is a perfect time to start a build thread for it. Chassis design and construction credit belong to ROOTAR here on RCC. He does outstanding work. The chassis is 3/16" tube and tig welded. It's extremely light and strong. ROOTAR put it through several skate park sessions before it made it's way to the CI garage. Without sponsors, many of these builds would not be possible. VP is one of the best and so is their products: ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

| Re: Crawler Innovations AR60 Monster Truck Basher Test Rig The fall weather is wonderful this time of year in East Texas. One of the local parks had a big pile of wood chips sitting out for park upgrades. CI took advantage of the opportunity to play with the FOFF truck and the AR60 axled Monster Truck. Mr CI drove the FOFF truck while Mrs. CI drove the Monster Truck. Both vehicles are using heavily modified drive train parts, use sensored brushless motors, 3S lipo batteries (12volts), and Crawler Innovations Deuce's Wild Foams. The FOFF truck is using a proto type set of Deuce's Wild Single Stage Foams that are designed to fit and stretch 2.2 Paddle tires & 1:10 buggy rear tires. The brand of tires are Panther. The monster truck is using Crawler Innovations 6 Bolt Wheels, Deuce's Wild 2.2 Standard Foams, & Axial R35 compound Maxxis Trepadors. |

| Re: Crawler Innovations AR60 Monster Truck Basher Test Rig I own a second AR60 based Monster Truck that I am yet to rebuild and start a build thread on. Szczerba built the frame and his build thread is linked below. Szczerba modified clod wheels for SLW hubs. They look cool but don't hold up to abuse. The Axial AR60 axles are truly tiny and a joke. They take complete over haul with full upgrades from other manufacturers to hold up for more than a few minutes of use. I have been switching over to Kyosho Twin Force axles more and more for anything that I want to last and be truly durable. Build thread: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial...ild-ar60s.html |

While searching through the RCC forum, I found the original builder's thread for the chassis used in this build. Gotta give credit to whom it's due. Great job Ross. This chassis is still holding up strong! Rootar's wraith axle'd Monster Truck. |

I finished the rebuild if this truck back in October but failed to post an update. With the release of the RC4WD 2.2 Mud Basher tires, it was time to post an update on this truck. Those look perfect on that truck. Needs to be in the March 2015 ARCC TTC event. I have an Aluminum replacement skid if you ever want it. |

Thank you sir. I don't think the AR60's would hold up to a TTC event. These big tires eat HD UD ring and pinions, especially if the axle is locked. As long as the axle is open, they last pretty good. I could definitely use that aluminum skid. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... | |

It's been six months since an update. This truck has been put through so much the last 6 months. The 17.5 Reedy motor finally lost the front bearing three months ago and was replaced with an axial yeti motor. The Traxxas et3s esc has been replaced with a Castle MMP 1 Cell & Castle BEC so more voltage can be run efficiently. The 3.5" big bores were swapped out to 4" shocks for more suspension travel on big landings. The green ford body got trashed and was temporarily replaced with a short course body. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

We went to a local park today to test, tune and film. Here are a few photos from today's outing where we found a burned out stump full of ash that made for some photo fun. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

| Re: Crawler Innovations AR60 Monster Truck Basher Test Rig Compilation video of the Crawler Innovations "take 2" ultra 4, the y town crawlers ultra 4, CI Monster Truck, & TCFD Drifter Camaro at our local skate park. This video shows how much abuse the Crawler Innovations 6 Bolt Wheels can with stand. The Take 2 ultra 4 and monster truck in this video each weigh 10 pounds and both were running CI 6 Bolt Wheels with Vanquish Products SLW Hubs. The monster truck absorbs a 25 foot high landing and is still drivable. All three trucks are running a combination of Double Deuce and Deuce's Wild foams. |

Very cool rig. That last super duty pic with the cloud of dust behind it just became my wallpaper. Those tires are perfect for that truck but I'm super curious to try a set on my Wraith. This may be a ridiculous question but, would they be any good at all in the rocks?
