Trail Ready Wraith Build - 2dr Jeep body Staring at my wraith, bored of it, it drives over everything in its path with no challenge. It's almost too easy to go crawling at the stouffville resevoir, my local proving ground. Not to mention I am less then enthused about the stock wraith's looks, as a scale addict, it just doesn't fit in my lineup anywhere. So time to start cutting, hacking, painting and accessorizing. I will get there, with a new baby in the house it will take some time The wraith as it was http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...d/IMGP1683.jpg Then I had an old proline jeep body hanging around, the colour was not quite what I wanted for another build. So out came the scissors. http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...psdirptxdc.jpg I was starting to like where it was going, but still not entirely happy. So here's where I went from there Out came the flat black, and I threw on my new Growlers for looks http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...psgqqwyeob.jpg Threw on a rack http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...pspcespshx.jpg Scale bits, canoe and some camp fuel tanks http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...pssa4m3ryz.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...pszamu95xv.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...psfnh6ajkm.jpg And as it sits now in the Traxion R/C Studio http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...pscryc1zm2.jpg I am going to shorten the wheelbase a bit, and I am still not sold on 1.9's on there, although they are almost the same size as the 2.2 ripsaws. Let me know what you guys think! |
Re: Trail Ready Wraith Build - 2dr Jeep body I love the look of that body and the Growlers, but I would agree with you on the wheelbase. Shorter would make it look even better. |
