Default Steering servo just twitches?

Fairly new to this world... trying to make sense of this issue. Any guidance from the experience is certainly appreciated!

Issue I'm having is the steering servo seems to be nearly unresponsive. You can hear a hum from it, occasionally does a bit of a twitch and if every so slightly responds to steering input from the transmitter. You can see the servo/wheels move just lightly left or right... but that's it.

Tried swapping it out for a new servo, does the same thing. So, unless I fried the servo immediately after putting power to it, I'm suspecting it's something else. Receiver maybe?

In case it helps, current set up includes:

Tekin FX-R ESC and 35T motor
HiTech HS-625MG servo

Looking forward to some input!

Have you tried to just hook up the servo without esc?
If you have a issue then its rec...be sure its in the steering port on rec & test both servos. If you bought it new Axial will replace it.(if its Axial)

Check radio settings as well. Exp dual rate end points. Get familiar with these.

Nope... I'll try that. Just so I'm clear, we're talking about plugging in the connector of the servo to the receiver and unplugging throttle (THR) connector? Haven't fooled with these things enough times to keep a mental image of how all the wiring runs.

Ok... I'll get familiar with those, as soon as I understand what in the world you're talking about! I'll do some searching, but I'm certainly not opposed to a little education via this thread.

Thank you both for the responses. Hopefully will get some time to fool around with this thing. My son is the predominant user... he's been asking every day about it, so need to nail this down.

3 dials under the cover on the transmitter.

1 is for forward/reverse calibration, 1 is for centering left to right, last one is how much the servo steers. If that got turned all the way down you would have very little steering angle.

Yep... checked those. No luck.
