Default Time to remove the clutch ?

I have a stock transmission with Axial clutch.
Some days ago I noticed it started to slip under heavy torque.
I tightened it Saturday night and yesterday I drove the Wraith again.
After ten minutes it slipped again. After that I put it under pressure and now it doesn't transmit the rotation any more.
Is it like a fuse ? Once it start slipping do you have to replace it ?

Don't know what to do now...
1- block the clutch
2- replace with a rrp gen 3
3- use some hardware to replace it with something else

Please give me some advices.

Thanks
Filippo

how bound up is your rig when the slipper lets go? having it slip usually means you just saved something else from stripping/blowing out. when you checked to retighten it did the lock nut holding the spring down actually loosen up? if so the nylon ring is probably just worn I had that problem and now I just replace the locknut whenever I mess with the slipper. there is no need to really upgrade the slipper in my opinion I run a roc412 3100kv on 3s on the stock slipper that's been on the rig for a year now and it only slips when im really jammed up. as always YMMV

I have a wraith with 3100 kv roc 412, the slipper slipped when bound up in a tight spot, no stripped gears, still stock. Tightened my slipper while doing some maintaince, stripped a spur next run. Looks like the slipper is there for a reason. Maybe if you have a full steel drivetrain, then eliminate or lock up slipper.

I'd drill a hole and put a bolt through. 5 cent fix.

The slipper is there for those who have no self control. If your tires are bound up get off the freaking throttle. Or pretzel your rig or rip your tires off the wheels depending on how much power you realy have.

Now the clutch slips starting the right at full throttle, and I have not a very powerful motor.

The spring was full compressed but I could give at least another 1/4 turn.
I will check what has happened last time as soon as possible, but unmounting the transmission from the chassis is not a fast operation I can do every time I drive the Wraith.
I heard the Axial clutch is almost impossible to set up correctly, so if you really need one you have to upgrade to the Robinson Racing Gen 3. What do you think ?

Thanks
Filippo

I decided to unmount the clutch again and check everything carefully. It seemed ok so I mounted again and tightened it as strong as I could. This time I decided to make some tests without the transmission cover.
As soon as I apply throttle the motor started spinning without any wheel movement, while the clutch was vibrating. I could put a finger on it and I realized it was not spinning. So what was happening ?

It turned out it was a loosen pinion ! The thread lock probably vaporized the last time I stalled the motor.

I guess that should have been option #4- tighten pinion set screw.
