Unboxed my New Spawn Edition Wraith....

Well I received my wraith spawn last week and finally decided to open today and take a looksy. It looks ok but I have a few questions.

They have esc placed in a weird spot under the driver being held on by a single screw. Has anyone come up with another way to mount it?

Are the ripsaws that come with the truck worth running?

Make sure your wheel nuts are tightened up. Mine came loose and I melted the inner hub. Just an FYI. I'm running a brushless system and it works great. Love the new spawn!!

Where's the photos. And who gives a shit where axial put it. Mount it wherever you want.

The parts list shows the tires as R35. I don't think anyone has physically confirmed this.

If they are R35 compound ditch the kit wheels and go with Beadlocks and not the poison spider ones!

Look for paint on the side walls of the tire. R35 usually have a gold dot of paint on them.

I think you're looking for a white dot on R35 Ripsaws. If they are you're golden. It's a great crawling tire in R35 but not the other coumpound. I'm using those with axial Walker Evans beadlocks and VP hubs and they work great.

Forget about colored dots, look at the part number. Axial r35 ripsaws are AX12015, which if you look at the parts list in the instructions, the spawn comes with outta the box, same as wraith kit I'm look at the manual of now. Unless you see value in being able to sell them new, just use em, they're a good tire

That's not a wholely bad spot for the ESC, should clear a little space for the battery up front so long as the new radio box hasn't stolen it all. If it were me I'd bend an off cut of lexen & fit around it just to keep debris off it from the rear tire.

I'm not sure which tires it comes with but all of the tires have the same part number, even the RTR's with the harder compound have the same number imprinted because it's the same mold. Axial lists the same part number because you can't actually buy the harder compounds.

Well that's embarrassing on my part, I was sure when I had looked a while ago they had different part # and I hadn't checked again.

Just checked some of the other RTRs, they all list the R35 tire under "Parts" even though they come with the hard compound stock.

Don't get your hopes up that they are actually the R35 compound.

That's what I was saying, they all list the same part number regardless of what they come with.

But the SCX Deadbolt comes with the R35 Treps now so it seemed like they were trying to go with a better compound on the cheaper rigs.
