Exclamation Wraith servo question

I have a castle 10 amp bec with a servo with 333oz and just installed rear steer with the same size servo. Do I need to step up to the castle 20amp bec. What do you guys run with front and rear steer.

You need to look at your servo specs.

A 7955 is 300mA at idle, and 4.2A at lock. If it was me, I would put a BEC on each servo.

+1

I think the cheapest route would be, is to buy a second 10 amp BEC for the rear steer.

I'm going to go against the above advice, and do the opposite. I'd run them both off one BEC, and this is why:

A. The likelihood of those servos pulling their max amperage draw simultaneously
is very low. Even at full bind they're not pulling 5 amps apiece.
B. "4.2 amps at lock" as previously posted is only 8.4 amps, what's the problem,
the BEC is rated @ 10amps.

You only need the one BEC. I am running 4ws on the same BEC you have. My front servo is HS-7980TH and SG 1231SG in the rear. I have never had any problems even when I had the dig kit in it.

+1 for running one bec. I run 2 savor 1230sg servo at 4990x at 7.4v ( i believe) and the one bec does the trick.

I'm planning on only running 1 bec when I finish the 4ws setup. Less mess and wiring to deal with is another bonus.

Set it as 6v, the voltage required will not increase with a second servo but the current demand (amps) will.
